I must let you know and understand that what happened was all caused by the shenanigans of the Insurance "Business Model" and its Industrial Organiszation behind, by which we both just become victims of, directly and indirectly!
Basically and essentially, it creates and makes use of the ignorance and inability of general consumers, including us, along the insurance food chain and the business cycle of any piece of insurance business.
In a way, I think I need to apologize for our industry, in putting you in such a position. It proves, Insurance do touch on every aspect of human life afterall!
Anyhow, hopefully the same won't happen to you again, even until you decide to truly retire one day!
Now I can see and understand why your previous broker xxxxxx xxxx did not approach and access the market for you, but rather letting you and us bear the brunt of it all. Probably, they just don't want to do it for free, despite what you (and us) had to go through!

I would suggest you take the best coverage and highest premium, especially when they can guarentee a two-years policy.

Any renewal under 50% increase is still palatable nowadays, especially for special case and in special class of insurance. So, if you say the premium is ridiculous, you have to judge for yourself.
Usually, we only do our own things.
I think, for your case, you have to decide who you want to deal with first.
I still think XX should do a better job, with the kind of market clout they have, particularly in the xxxxxxxxxxxx and xxxxxxx business.

What I worry is that, when we push, yet they come back later say yes and now they can do it! That will be a waste of time for many parties involved!

If your previous broker told you that they had reached out to 33 markets for you and all declined your case, I can confirm it is not true.
But for now, I will just leave it to you and to them, and see whether they would come back positive for you eventually, before we push further on your behalf. We don't want to waste people's time.
One thing most important, that you remain solely as a xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx, and do not involve in xxx xxxx or xxxxxxxxxxx xxxx type of operations (like as xxxxxx xxxxxxxxx), because markets for those are even more restricted and "controlled" that might work against you, just in case, in terms of insurance availability, easily.
I would suggest you to follow up with your previous broker immediately, and get some updated indication from them concerning your insurance renewal. And you do not have to mention our involvement.

I am afraid it is unlikely that your current insurance company will be able to offer renewal terms this year. They have seen a consistent pattern of high frequency/high severity claims with xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx and have as a result really tightened up their appetite for the class. They are also increasing rates and coming off any accounts which have claims or notifications on the file, as is the case here with the recent notification.
I will be reviewing the account more closely as we will have to remarket this account.
